Joean K. Handyside, 87, a resident of Gurnee, IL, passed away May 26, 2026 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL.  She was born August 6, 1938 in Libertyville, IL to John and Victoria Kobus.  

Joean had most recently worked for 15 years for Walgreens in Gurnee, IL.

Joean is survived by her children Sharon (Tom) Cromeans of Lake Villa, IL and Duane Jr. (Lynn) Handyside of Marshfield, MO, her daughter-in-law Toni Handyside, her grandchildren Brad Cromeans, Chad (Michelle) Handyside, and Kelli Cromeans, her great-grandchild Cameron Handyside, and her sister-in-law Millie Kobus.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Duane Handyside Sr., her grandson Brett Cromeans, and her siblings Marie Long, Leroy Kobus, and John Kobus.
