Charles A. Seifert, 93, of Grayslake, IL, passed peacefully with his wife by his side on May 3, 2026.

He spent his early years in North Chicago, IL and later settled in Grayslake, IL where he resided until his death. He was an avid gardener. He loved his flowers, a well manicured lawn, and traveling. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Lucille, for 33 years. Charles worked at US steel for over 25 years, taking a break to serve our country in the US Army.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Beatrice Seifert, his sister Geraldine Forsberg, his son Thomas Seifert, the mother of his children Elfie Seifert, his cousin Lois and his aunts.

Charles is survived by his wife Lucille Seifert, his children Diana (Mike) Hand and Beatrice Parkison, his step-children John Joseph, Pam Marie, and Christine Ann, along with 16 grandchildren,a host of great-grandchildren, and two special nieces Julie Green and Julie Wheeler.

A visitation and funeral service are scheduled for May 22, 2025 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 from 10:00am until 12:30pm with the funeral service commencing at 12:30pm. Interment will follow the services at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.
