Bernice A. Burgett, 90, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away July 4, 2026 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. She was born August 16, 1935 in Waukegan, IL to Clarence and Florence Perry.

Bernice was a member of the UP Church in Grayslake and a member of the Friday Nights Club.  She enjoyed knitting, sewing, ceramics, and puzzles.

Bernice is survived by her children Barry (Claudia) Burgett, Scott Burgett, Sharon Sell, and Peggy (Rob) Baum, her grandchildren Amy (Jeff) Johnson, Melissa (Jacob Scott) Burgett, Becky Burgett, Abigail (Andrew) Findley, Emily (Gianna) Montalbano, Scott Burgett, Jonathan (Madison) Sell, Zachary Sell, Robbie (Lynlee) Baum, and Andy (Allie) Baum, her many great-grandchildren, her sister Elsie Mae Parsygnat, and her many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard Burgett, and her brother Allen Perry. 

A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.  The funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at the funeral chapel at 11:00am.  Interment will follow at Warren Cemetery in Gurnee, IL.  Memorial donations may be made to Victory Lakes Rehabilitation in Lindenhurst, IL.
