Barbara Ann Hansen passed away on January 20, 2026. Born on May 12, 1952, she was a beloved sister whose presence shaped our lives in meaningful and lasting ways. We grew up side by side, sharing both the challenges and joys of life, and her steady kindness and laughter remain woven into our memories.

Barb had a gift for connection. She found joy in people and was a devoted sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend. Her laugh came easily and often, bringing light to family gatherings and comfort to those around her.

She began her career at Montgomery Ward in the administrative office and later worked at Barton Brands, where she met the love of her life, Andy Hansen. After a brief time at Monsanto, Barb spent most of her career as a Benefits Manager at Better Business Planning, retiring in 2018.

She is survived by her sisters, Cathy Feder and Annette (Al) Stams; her brother-in-law, Jim Bellinger; and her sisters-in-law, Linda (Dave) Fanselow and Barb (Doug) Mulay, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Hansen; her parents, Steve and Virginia Feder; and her sister, Donna Bellinger.

Barb leaves behind a legacy of love and shared moments that will be carried forward by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A memorial/celebration of life will be held on February 16, 2026 at St Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church 22333 W. Erhart Road Mundelein, IL 60060.

The visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Followed by a Memorial mass at 11:00 a.m.

A luncheon will follow the Memorial mass.
