Armelia Lopez Rivera, 82, a resident of Waukegan, IL, passed away June 15, 2026 at her home.  She was born June 14, 1944 in Honduras to Camilo and Vicenta Lopez.

Armelia is survived by her children Lelvia Acosta, Hugo Zalvidar Lopez, Leila Zalvidar Lopez, Amanda Zalvidar Lopez, Erwin Zalvidar Lopez, Carolina Zalvidar Lopez, Nadia Zalvidar Lopez, Walter Zalvidar Lopez, and Emilia Posas, and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, June 21, 2026 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 from 1:00pm until 5:00pm.  The funeral service is scheduled for Monday, June 22, 2026 at 10:00am at the funeral chapel.  Interment will follow the service at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.  For more information log onto www.strangfuneral.org or contact (847)223-8122.
