Obituary's Biography:
Maria L. Archuleta, age 54, a resident of Round Lake Heights, passed away on May 3, 2022 at Condell Hospital in Libertyville. She was born on August 25, 1967 in Mexico to Ismael Alamos and Gudelia Quiroz.
As a loving wife and mother, Maria is survived by her husband, Herminio, of 27 years; her daughters, Stephanie of Wheeling and Samantha of Round Lake Heights; her siblings, Virginia, Maria De Rosario, Ismael, Ana Lilia, Ramon, and Gerardo; and many nieces and nephews. Maria was a smart, beautiful, caring, and funny person who always put others before herself and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Gilbert Catholic Church, 301 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 10am. Cariño.. así fue como siempre llamé a Güichita desde la primera vez que la conocí en el CBTis de Iguala, Gro, Mx en la hermosa época de 1979. Tan sólo bastaron 3 años para conocernos y desde entonces mantener una MARAVILLOSA amistad que continuará más allá de las fronteras de ésta vida… la vida se encargó de separarnos por espacio de 35 años y después de tanto tiempo recuerdo tan vívidamente tus palabras cuando volvimos a comunicarnos…”cariño, me dijiste, fue como si sólo le pusieron una pausa al cassette y no hubiera pasado tanto tiempo…” cómo nos reímos ese día de recordar tantas y tantas cosas que vivimos juntas…! Esa tarde lloré de gusto por volver a escuchar tu voz y ahora quién lo diría vuelvo a llorar por ti..! Siempre fuiste y seguirás siendo una mujer fuerte, luchona, apasionada y completamente transparente… es un HONOR haberte conocido no sólo por lo hermosa que eres sino por todas las lecciones de vida que me diste y que me acompañarán por siempre..! Ahora vives en mi memoria que nunca dejará de darte las GRACIAS por TODO LO QUE ERES…!
