  1. RIP Bill. So sorry for the loss of your brother, Bill. I worked with him at the U.S Postal Service. We were both rural carriers. He always seemed so easy going.

  3. Bill was a very nice person. I met him when we both worked at New Towne Station, He was a rural carrier and I am a city carrier. I always enjoyed talking with him on our office breaks. He was One of a kind, and I mean that in the most positive way! 🙂 He usually brought smiles to me! I am really sad that he lost the battle. Rest in peace Bill, <3

  4. I first met Bill when his Aunt Jackie died. He was the first person to show up at the house to be with his Uncle Jim. I was very impressed with his kind and caring words and manner. May he now be rejoined with both his aunt and uncle in Heaven.

  5. May God Almighty of Tender Mercies Comfort the Schmidt family (2 Cor.1:3,4). When the last Enemy strikes grief maybe great And make the Heart yearn for Comfort, God Almighty of Tender Mercies gives HOPE And PROMISE, All those in the Memorial tombs will hear His voice And COME OUT, He will wipe OUT every tear from their eyes And Death will be NO MORE, God Almighty of Tender Mercies HOPE And PROMISE IS SOON TO BE ATTAIN.
May these Thoughts be of some Comfort.

  6. I worked with Bill at the New Towne postal facility for many years. We had a blast. I enjoyed Bill’s wry sense of humor. We would always talk about what movies we have seen and have some major discussions about them. Not too long ago , I took him out to one of my customers’ house to dig up some grasses. The ones that grow tall with beautiful plumes on them in the fall. I am really sad that Bill wasn’t around to see the beauty. I just retired last year , about the time he started having problems. I am definitely going to miss him. Hope you have a pleasant Journey Bill .

  7. Bill was an amazing person. He helped many people and he had an amazing heart!
He and my best friend, Melissa Kump spent every other day together. They were extremely close and he would’ve wanted her to know what’s going on with arrangements. She is grieving and I encourage anyone in his family to please reach out to her! We just found this obituary today, that’s the only way she found out about his funeral! Please email me for her information! Thanks

  8. Bill was our mail carrier for many years. I loved hearing his “ideas” and quick stories. He was a smart man and always looked “outside of the box”. Very kind, always smiling and always a positive attitude. You have been missed since you had to stop your route…we always prayed you would be back. May you rest in peace Bill ~

  9. I worked with Bill for quite awhile and he was a good friend. Very sweet and very kind. When he dressed up…WOW! We shared the experiences of being Rural mail carriers and we started close to the same time. I enjoyed working alongside Bill. It wasn’t easy but working with friends like Bill made it easier. RIP, Dear Friend. Much love goes with you.
