Obituary's Biography:

Wayne “Whop” Malizio, age 67, of Grayslake, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. He was born on July 27, 1947 in Evanston to Frank and Arline (Norman) Malizio. A Vietnam vet, Wayne loved motorcycles and was a member of the Sojourners motorcycle club. He was also an avid clock maker. He is survived by his mom, Arline Malizio; his three brothers, Phil (Patricia) of Lake Villa, Larry (Marj) of Libertyville, and Norm (Jana) of Mundelein; one niece, Gina; three nephews, Shawn (Lara) of Lake Forest, Todd (Christi) of Gilberts, and Michael of Mundelein; and one great-nephew, Cole. Wayne’s dad, Frank, preceded him in death. Friends of the family may visit from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E.   4. I was looking for Norm on the net just now who was my best friend in HS and I saw this and am extremely sad to hear the news about Wayne. I only knew him through Norm but he was always spoken of in the highest regard. Rest in peace Wayne. And if anyone knows how I can reach Norm please let me know of let him know Paul is looking for him and would love to connect again. My sincere condolences to the whole family.

  5. wayne, my brother. you were my best friend for 55 years. ice skating in jewet park, riding in franz kolbecks pick=up. living together in Highland park, riding choppers all over Illinois.. I was looking forward to seeing you in aug. 2016′ I just found out you passed in 2014. Damn! I cried for hours. Your voice is still on your phone mess. I miss you,wayne.
