Obituary's Biography:
Theresa C. Galuska (nee: Pasterski), 86 of Gurnee, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. She was born on December 24, 1932 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to John and Helen Pasterski. Teri grew up in Green Bay and later moved to Illinois where she met her late husband of 38 years, Linus Galuska. Theresa was employed by General Binding Corporation for 28 years, retired, and later focused her energy on her grandchildren and babysitting. She devoted her time to her family attending events and spreading joy to all who knew her. Teri’s greatest joy was her family: 5 children, 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and countless others who saw her as a mother, aunt, sister, grandmother and friend. She will be missed for her unending wisdom, strength, fabulous cooking skills, fascinating memories, and her love of celebrating holidays with her family. Heaven shines a little brighter with her soul, smile, and dancing shoes. Theresa is survived by her children, Diane, Mary (Matt), Pat (Dave), John, and James; her 13 grandchildren: Justin, Nicole, Kirsten (Sal), Nate, Carri (Jason), Kevin (Lara), Cody, Tyler, Danai, Blake, Kyle, Brittney and Noah; and 7 great-grandchildren: Kayla, Trey, Savannah, Logan, Chase, Skyler, and Callie. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Linus, and her siblings: Germaine, Margaret, Robert, and William. A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 East Belvidere Road in Grayslake, IL. 60030. A burial mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 4th at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6401 Gages Lake Road in Gurnee, IL. 60031 at 10:00 a.m. Internment will be at All Saint Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.
