  1. Sorry Susan my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Please accept my condolences and know Bob is continuing his to walk his spiritual walk he will always be with you…..

    1. Thank you Peggy. His death was very unexpected. He had just gotten a clean bill of health for a follow up for severe bleeding ulcers a few months ago. We will never know for sure the cause of death as no autopsy & nothing will bring him back. How did you find out what with living out of the area? Don Cook also sent condolences.

  2. I am sorry for the family’s loss. A few decades ago, when I first got to know him, Robert E. Schloneger was an idealistic young man who worked and fought hard for his friends. He lived a fascinating, if sometimes politically incorrect, life; his short obituary listed here fails to do him justice. My prayers are with him and his family.

    1. Thank you John. We decided to keep things very simple as that was the way he said he wanted. Those that knew him-like you -don’t need those “novels” some people write. His ways may not have been those of others but he lived the courage of his convictions.

  3. Just read on our” Class of 67,” site about Bob’s passing; and wanted to reach out and add my condolences as well. I will never forget ,Bob, was my first date (it probably was not the best date for him) at Homecoming and your father drove us to the dance. Bob chose a beautiful corsage of bittersweet, and it still exists, in my memory box. He was such a kind, polite and gentle man and I am sure you have many memories to fill your days. May God’s grace surround you and your family in the days ahead.

    1. I’m sure your date was fine with him. Passage of time events. Thank you for your condolances. These little stories do mean a lot.

  4. Bob was a sweet, gentle guy. We were maybe in 6th grade, and he walked over to my house and brought me a sweet bracelet. I had no idea he had a crush on me. I remember him being very witty too in high school. Jan Ellis
