Otis Peterson, a 95-year-old Round Lake Beach resident, passed away at home Thurs. evening, Oct. 25, 2012.  He was born in Herrin, IL on Jan.  14, 1917 to the now late Marion and Flora {nee Crawford} Peterson.  Otis served his country proudly during WWII, attaining the rank of Tech Sergeant, and was involved in multiple campaigns over various theaters.  He retired from John Mansville in Waukegan in 1980 after 33 years.  Otis was also a deacon at the First Baptist Church in Marion, IL.  He was the beloved father of Mitchell “Mickey” (Beth) Peterson; the loving grandfather of Shaun Peterson and Sarah (Mike) Pfleeger; the doting great-grandfather of Kylie; the fond uncle and cousin of many.  His cherished wife June, son Randy, two sisters, and four brothers preceded him in death.  Friends of the family may visit at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 410 E.
