Speaking for the Skyknights Aeromodeling Team, we truly mourn Len’s passing and extend our deepest sympathies to Sue, his family and friends. We lost a great friend and flying buddy as well as a genuinely terrific and talented guy. Smooth flights and happy landings from your fellow Skyknights, Len.

I met Lenny when he and I worked together at Radio shack in 1975. We had a lot of fun selling radios and tinkering with gadgets. He was one of the people that influenced me into joining the Navy. We reconnected when I returned, and his NC BBQ was always a great night to talk about old times, radio, and his passion with flying. My thoughts are with my classmate Susan, her family, and Lenny’s family.
May your ship always steam in calm waters and the sky be free from QRN my friend.

I got to know Lenny through Facebook. He and I graduated a year apart in Lexington and I remember his sister, Carmen, very well. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He never mentioned that he was sick. I wish I had known. He was a very nice person and always had uplifting comments. He will be missed on the Lexington page.

What friends we were in good ol’ Robbins Elementary. I knew and enjoyed his family and regret that I only recently found him on the net. I knew him as Bryan, and am so truly sorry for seeing a really good guy leave us.
    Rest well, old friend.
