It was a privilege getting to know Jim. He was truly a wonderful man and we will miss him deeply.
I began my career with the ISP working on I-294 under the command of Cpl. Harris. We worked the evening shift and I learned a lot from him. I always remember how kind hearted he was and patient in my training process. I’m proud to have known him and learned from him. Although he will be gone he will not be forgotten. I also recall how he loved riding his motorcycle during his retirement years. God bless him and those like him that have passed on in the Illinois State Police.
Jim was a loyal member of the Retired State Police Association for 28 years. His death is a loss to the Illinois State Police family. Rest in Peace, Jim. Mike Stavola, RSPA
Jim was a neighbor for 39 years and one of the nicest people you could know. Our kids thought he was great because he was a “policeman”. He was kind and caring and we will all miss him very much. We are all shocked and very sad to hear of his passing.
Jim had a warm heart and it was always a pleasure to be in his company. We will truly miss his smile and sense of humor. Jim and his family are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
It was always a pleasure to be in Jim’s company. He had a warm smile, loving personality and great sense of humor. He will always be in our thoughts and truly missed.
