Obituary's Biography:

Barbara T. (nee: Anderson) Manley, a resident of Lake Villa, passed away Tuesday November 26, 2013, at her home at the age of 57. She was born August 31, 1956 at St. Therese Hospital in Waukegan. Barbara worked as a cosmetologist for many years. Barbara is survived by her husband Jeff C. Manley whom she wed on May 16, 1989, her daughter Jamie (Gary) Burgett, her stepson Ryan (Erin) Manley, her grandchildren Daniel, Aidan, Liam, and Nevan, her sisters Marguerite (David) Janke of South Carolina, Mary E. (Rob) Kemp of Wisconsin, and Ann M. Anderson of Illinois, her brother Harold Anderson of Minnesota, her brother-in-law Tom Girard of Minnesota, and her loving pup Meeko. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Irma Anderson her sister Roberta “Bobbie” C. Girard, and her loving pups Oso and Jack. Friends of the family may visit Friday, November 29, 2013 from 5:00pm until 9:00 pm at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL 60030. A funeral service will be held on Saturday November 30, 2013 at 10:00am at the chapel. Interment will be held privately. Memorials may be made to Save-A-Pet 31664 N. Fairfield Rd. Grayslake, IL.   1. Our sincere condolences go out to Jeff, Jamie and the entire family. Barbara will be so missed.
    She was a great person, always so full of fun and energy. I have great memories of the times we spend together. As a cousin, there was no better. There will be another brite star in the heavens tonight, and it will be Barbara watching over all those she so dearly loved.

  4. Lil Barb was a woman who’s energy could not be captured in her tiny frame. As a dear childhood friend to my mother, I’ve heard of the schemes by also the deep friendship and care for one another.
    She was my Godmother and hairdresser as a child, and I am thankful for many memories with her.
    My prayers to her family as they grieve the loss of wonderful wife. Mother, sister and friend.
    She now feels no pain while dancing in Heaven now!
